Server fails to start as service with error 1067

Hello all

I was trying to work around a problem with NT service not
going up for any of 4 sybase services installed by 12.5.3
ASE installation.


I found next document:

CR Number: 409607
Product Name: Adaptive Server Enterprise
Product Component: xpserver

Status: Open
OS: Microsoft Windows
Original Version: 12.5.3.a

Description
XP Server fails to start as service with error 1067

I followed up this document instructions but problem was
still there.
Have anybody went though this problem and was able to
successfuly fix that?

Any suggestion is apprecuated.

Hi Gene,

the 1067 error is specific to the XP Server not ASE Server. The XP
Server is started automatically by ASE so you don't actually have to
start the XP Server through the services.

Thank you for respond.
I am not sure why I am getting error 1067, but that's exactly what I am
getting when I start sybase service from nt services.

I need to make a remark to my first posting: I was installing 12.5
sybase, not 12.5.3.

the 1067 error is specific to the XP Server not ASE Server. The XP
